何力新

何力新,教授。 1994年毕业于中国科技大学物理系, 并于1997年获中国科技大学硕士学位。1998 - 2003年在美国Rutgers 物理系跟随David Vanderbilt教授学习第一性原理的计算方法,并获博士学位。2003.9-2006.1在美国国家再生能源实验室Dr. Alex Zunger领导的固体理论小组从事半导体量子点的理论研究工作。2006年1月作为国外杰出人才(百人计划)引进至中国科技大学中科院量子信息重点实验室工作。 截至2006年3月止, 共发表论文13篇,其中以第一作者发表PRL 3 篇,PRB 7 篇 (其一为 Rapid Comm.)。共被他人引用160余次。

1. 研究了晶体电子局域化的性质。首次发现并证明了在一维晶格中, Wannier函数和密度矩阵的一般渐进形式为幂衰减与指数衰减之积;⒉预言了InAs/InSb 量子点中存在自发形成的电子-空穴对(即强关联的激子基态)。此外的工作还包括介电,铁电材料性质的研究;耦合量子点电子结构和纠缠态的研究;等等。

主要从事计算凝聚态物理研究,发展和应用第一性原理方法研究物质材料的基本物理性质;研究半导体量子点的电、光学性质,及其在量子计算和量子信息中的应用。
